Drill Results Continue to Impress - Two New Lodes Discovered

  • NEW LODE ABOVE MAIN LODE WEST, PDP186: 3 metres at 4.2% zinc, 14.0% lead and 126.0g/t silver
  • NEW LODE ABOVE MAIN LODE WEST, PDP187: 5 metres at 9.8% zinc, 3.4% lead and 27.1g/t silver, including 2 metres at 19.9% zinc, 7.2% lead and 52.3g/t silver
  • MAIN LODE, PDP188: 2 metres at 14.1% zinc, 1.5% lead and 16.0g/t silver
  • ZED LODE, PDP164: 8 metres at 6.1% zinc, 2.9% lead and 19.1g/t silver
  • NEW LODE ABOVE ZED LODE, PDP191: 3 metres at 2.7% zinc, 1.5% lead and 5.8g/t silver

Prairie Downs Metals has now received assay results for all RC drill holes from the recent drill program, significant intersections from this last batch are detailed below. Results for seven diamond drill holes are awaited and will be released as they come to hand over the next few weeks.

The discovery of a further two lodes is highly encouraging and suggests that zinc mineralisation may be much more extensive at Prairie Downs than has been previously thought. It is interesting to note that zinc has now been defined over a strike length of 1.1 kilometres; however the source, or origin, of this mineralisation has yet to be found.

The metal content for all Zed Lode holes and Main Lode West holes is shown in the figure below; metal content of 20 is considered significant. It can be clearly seen that Zed remains open along strike to both the east and west and at depth and Main is open to the west. The two new lodes are also open along strike and at depth. Drilling will recommence in July with the initial focus being the numerous targets in the Zed Lode area.
