Another High Grade Zinc Lode - New Copper Lode

  • NEW ZINC LODE BELOW ZED LODE, PDD196: 7.1 metres at 11.0% zinc, 4.3% lead and 19.4g/t silver, including 3.5 metres at 18.4% zinc, 5.4% lead and 29.0g/t silver
  • NEW COPPER LODE BELOW ZED LODE, PDD196: 3.4 metres at 2.8% copper, 12.2g/t silver, including 0.9 metres at 6.4% copper, 28.2g/t silver
  • MAIN LODE, PDP193: 0.9 metres at 14.3% zinc, 9.2% lead and 110.6g/t silver

Prairie Downs Metals has received assay results for four diamond drill holes from the recent drill program, significant intersections are detailed below and PDP 196 is shown in the accompanying cross section. All diamond drill samples have now been submitted for analysis and the remaining results will be released as they come to hand.

Results now suggest that stacked lodes will be a regular occurrence at Prairie Downs. This is a substantial economic benefit as development costs to mine the additional lodes would be minimal. It also demonstrates the need to follow up even minor intersections which are often indicative of substantial mineralisation along strike or at depth.

While copper mineralisation is known to occur at Prairie Downs in the vicinity of Main Lode, it tends to be sporadic and relatively low grade. The results in PDD 196 conclusively demonstrate that copper can occur at economic levels. This is an unexpected but welcome development as copper mineralisation could be readily treated in the concentrator currently under consideration for Prairie Downs.

Drilling recommenced this week with the initial target being strike and depth extensions to Zed Lode.
