2007 Drill Program commences at Prairie Downs
Prairie Downs Metals (ASX: PDZ) has commenced the 2007 drill program at its namesake zinc project in Western Australia.
The first stage of drilling will comprise 57 holes for 11,000 metres of reverse circulation drilling to depths of up to 300 metres and is expected to take around three months to complete.
A diamond drilling program is also planned for the June quarter and a second stage of RC drilling is planned for the September quarter.
In effect the Company will be drilling at Prairie Downs until the end of the year.
Drilling will commence at the newly discovered Zed Lode, where the best result late last year was 16 metres at a grade of 5.1% zinc, 0.8% lead and 6g/t silver, including a 6 metre interval at a grade of 10.1% zinc, 1.6% lead and 12g/t silver.
Strike and depth extensions for the Main, East and Gabbro lodes will also be tested as will exploration targets that have yet to be drilled.
Regular progress reports will be released during the course of these drilling campaigns.
